Leigh Anne Jasheway-Bryant, M.P.H. (master of public health/mistress of public humor) is a comedy writer, motivational humor speaker, stand-up comic, and radio talk show host. Winner of the prestigious Erma Bombeck award for humor writing in 2003 and runner up in the Mona Schreiber Award for Humorous Fiction in 2004, she is the author of thirteen books, including I'm Not Getting Older (I'm Getting Better at Denial), Yoga for Your Funny Bone (winner of a 2007 book award from the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor), Bedtime Stories for Cats, Bedtime Stories for Dogs and Don't Get Mad, Get Funny. She has written for dozens of national publications including Better Homes & Gardens, The Comic News, Diet & Fitness, DogFancy, Family Circle, First, Funny Times, Good Housekeeping, and Reader's Digest New Choices, and The Los Angeles Times. In 2006, her first play, Are We There Yet - a story of friendship, betrayal, and reincarnation - was produced to sold-out audiences. She is the host of her own radio program, Women Under the Influence of Laughter on KOPT 1600 AM in Eugene, OR and speaks on humor topics at 50-60 conferences a year.
